The Al Habtoor Leighton Group, through the Dubai division of Al Habtoor Engineering, has been awarded an AED 740 million contract for the construction of Olgana and Hilliana Towers in Dubai for Abyaar Real Estate Development.

The project forms part of Abyaar’s prestigious Acacia Avenues development in Jumeirah. It comprises two hi-rise residential towers – Olgana and Hilliana.

Olgana Tower comprises two levels of basement car parking, three podium levels and 36 levels of residential apartments. It includes:
• 30 one-bedroom apartments
• 61 two-bedroom apartments
• 28 three-bedroom apartments
• 14 four-bedroom townhouses
• An exclusive four-bedroom penthouse suite
• Communal pools, health club, spa, squash courts
• Children’s play areas
• Cafes and shops

Hilliana Tower consists of three basement and three podium levels of basement parking, and 40 levels of residential apartments. It comprises:
• Six floors of five-star Angsana serviced apartments
• 36 studio apartments
• 30 one-bedroom apartments
• 69 two-bedroom apartments
• Nine three-bedroom apartments
• Nine four-bedroom apartments
• Four levels of penthouse suites

Work on the project will commence in July, with construction expected to be completed by July 2010.

Exhibition joins forces with YouGovSiraj to survey companies on their Green travel commitments.

The Business Travel Show Dubai is teaming up with YouGovSiraj this month to roll out a comprehensive survey into the business travel trends of corporates in the UAE.

The survey, which will target buyers and bookers of business travel, will question the market’s commitment to green travel initiatives, with a view to finding out how many companies are prepared to pay extra to offset their travelling employees’ carbon emissions, and who are using suppliers that minimise carbon footprints.

The Business Travel Show Dubai and YouGovSiraj survey will also consider the latest issues and trends facing corporate travel managers and bookers of business travel, from booking habits and decision making processes to business travel policy making.
